Roma finally got back to winning ways in Serie A this evening after hammering Crotone 5-0.

The Giallorossi dismantled Serse Cosmi’s side, who have already secured relegation, thanks to braces from Borja Mayoral and Lorenzo Pellegrini, with a late goal coming from Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

It was Roma’s first league victory in nearly a full month, with their last one coming on 11 April against Bologna.

Incoming Roma boss Josè Mourinho applauded the victory on Instagram, as did Brazilian shot-stopper Daniel Fuzato.

“Playing in another match is important for me,” he explained to Roma TV.

“A clean sheet is a compliment to the entire team, not only the goalkeeper. I received praise for the team after the match, but this was a team effort.”

“I’m constantly trying to learn and improve. I left for Portugal last summer but things didn’t go as planned.”

“Once I returned here, I worked even harder and more serious. I’m working every single day to take advantage of the chances I’m given.”
