Roma are about to enter a crucial week for an eventual deal for Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi, as the Giallorossi and the player continue to put pressure on the Neroverdi to accept their offer.
According to Il Tempo, the capital club went as far as giving Sassuolo an ultimatum: Roma want a definite answer within this week. If not, the club will move on to other targets on the market.
Sassuolo demanded of Roma a sum of €35 million, which the capital club refused to pay given their 35% sell-on clause on the former Primavera player.
The Italian newspaper reports that, given the circumstances and for lack of better offers, Sassuolo could lower their demands and reach an agreement with the Giallorossi in the coming days.
This would mean that Frattesi would be allowed to join Jose Mourinho’s squad for preseason in Portugal.
