Roma GM Tiago Pinto shares update on Paulo Dybala before Salernitana kick-off

Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto was asked about Paulo Dybala’s status before this afternoon’s match with Salernitana.

In his pre-match interview with DAZN, Pinto explained the situation: “As you have all seen, he took an incredible blow to the ankle in Bergamo and is now recovering.”

“Our goal is to have him ready for the final. Today he didn’t feel 100% and so he won’t play. We are all working together to get him in the best shape for the end of the season.”

“Criticism from Bayer Leverkusen players and management? In football there are two things: the result and, unfortunately for them, we’re the ones going to Budapest, but then there must also be respect for Roma.”

“In the last six years, we’ve made four semi-finals, we’re tenth in the rankings. Mourinho has 26 titles, 12 semi-finals. We’ve had a great run in Europe, we’ve just made it to two consecutive finals.”

“We are proud of the path we have taken and what has been said seems too much to me. From our side we are also proud of Mourinho, of the leadership and also of the way he leads the team.”
