Roma are reportedly increasingly optimistic about Jose Mourinho’s stay in the Italian capital.
Three years into his tenure at the club, Mourinho is yet to address his own future plans.
Rumors of a move to Saudi Arabia or return to Real Madrid seem to have faded away with Roma taking center-stage once again.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma are seriously reflecting on the possibility of extending the Special One’s contract – the necessary step will need to take the form of the long-awaited qualification to next year’s Champions League.
In the meantime, Mourinho’s impact on the club has been remarkable and visible in Roma’s recent financial statements: revenues from ticket sales and merchandising have gone significantly up thanks to the consistently packed Stadio Olimpico crowd who in part show up for ‘Mou’.
Roma know this and are considering rewarding Mourinho with a new deal before the end of the season.
