Roma hammer Cluj, Borja Mayoral opens goal account

Roma hammered Cluj in their Europa League encounter this evening in the Italian capital by a scoreline of 5-0.

Paulo Fonseca’s men were in control of the fixture from the onset as they scored their opening goal within the first minute of the clash.

Meanwhile, Spanish striker Borja Mayoral opened his scoring account with the club since joining last month from Real Madrid as he scored twice.

The 23 year-old appeared on Roma TV after the clash and conceded that he was pleased to finally get his name on the scoresheet.

“It was the night I dreamed of, but I’m also very happy with the performance of the team,” he said,

“From the first time we spoke, the manager has showed confidence in me. I still have to settle in but I feel the trust of the manager and my teammates.”

“Football is more tactical in Italy, so it’s not easy for an attacker to score here. I can learn a lot, though, and I’m glad I came here.”
