Roma were given a huge boost today towards the completion of the Stadio della Roma as the city of Rome voted in favor of the project being in the public interest in the city.
The measure, which was never a certainty, ensures that the stadium is of benefit to the people of Rome and represents another hurdle cleared in the construction of the new project.
Roma president James Pallotta thanked Rome mayor Virginia Raggi for her efforts on the matter:
