What a turnaround for Roma and their attacking department!
The Giallorossi head into this international break with three consecutive victories and plenty of goals to show for their efforts over the last month.
As evidenced by Il Tempo, Jose Mourinho can finally breathe a sigh of relief: Roma have currently the second best attack in Serie A with 19 goals scored so far this season.
Only Inter have scored more than Roma – the Nerazzurri have collected 21 goals in Simone Inzaghi’s third season in Milan.
Romelu Lukaku and Andrea Belotti have both proven to be key for Mourinho’s team with 7 and 3 goals in Serie A respectively (Belotti with only 490 minutes to his name).
Now, the next step remains to be find much needed defensive solidity with the imminent return from injury for Chris Smalling and Diego Llorente.
