Roma want to secure the services of an additional left-back to provide Daniele De Rossi with more depth for the remainder of the season.

The Giallorossi are looking for a suitable back-up option to Leonardo Spinazzola.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the capital club have identified Atalanta’s Mitchel Bakker as a potential late January reinforcement.

The player – who joined the Bergamaschi in the summer – is already on his way out.

Atalanta want to send him out on loan, and the Dutchman is said to have already rejected offers from Torino and Monza.

Roma have held a first round of talks with Bakker’s agent who is trying to find him a new team to join, preferably in Italy.
