Roma are reportedly already at work to secure a new long-term deal for Daniele De Rossi.

According to the latest edition of Il Messaggero, the club’s ownership have been positively impressed by De Rossi’s immediate impact on the team since his appointment in mid-January.

Nothing has been made public yet, but the newspaper claims Roma are already holding discussions internally regarding the long-term future of De Rossi at the capital club.

There is mutual trust and esteem on both sides and thus negotiations for a positive conclusion should not prove problematic.

De Rossi is in close contact with Roma CEO Lina Souloukou who is currently the club’s main administrator and intends to propose a two-year contract to the legendary captain.

The parties, as of today, are in no hurry. Also because what matters is that Roma have regrouped and continue to deliver positive results until the end of the season.
