In addition to sacking Jose Mourinho earlier in the day, Roma continue their search for an experienced sporting director.

The list of names of potential candidates is extremely diverse as the capital club ponder who may fit the current situation best with the added pressure of UEFA’s Settlement Agreement and the resulting restrictions of Financial Fair Play.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Roma have met with former Chelsea and Salzburg director Christopher Vivell as well as Paul Mitchel whose recent experiences include AS Monaco, Leipzig and and New York Red Bulls.

The Friedkins are personally involved in discussions with candidates and a decision is expected to be taken within the next few weeks.
