Roma are involved in talks for Chelsea midfielder Hakim Ziyech who is now being considered the ideal replacement for Nicolo Zaniolo.
Ziyech’s arrival in the Italian capital is strictly dependent on Nicolo Zaniolo’s departure.
Following his own decision to exclude himself from tonight’s league fixture with Spezia, Zaniolo is now rumoured to be close to a transfer to the Premier League where Tottenham, West Ham, Brighton and Leeds are reportedly the main candidates to sign him.
As a result, Roma have opened talks with Chelsea to sign Ziyech on a permanent deal.
The latest Sky Sport confirms that Roma are in contact with the Moroccan player’s agent over the last few hours. The deal is complicated given the costs involved: Ziyech earns roughly €6.5 million, which in Italy would be subjected to growth decree.
