Roma’s season so far has proven problematic in many aspects, but perhaps the most worrying one is the team’s difficulty in scoring goals.
The Giallorossi are looking for another league win in Verona, after the narrow home win against Torino.
They need to score, it seems easy but it isn’t.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport writes, the Giallorossi have scored just 10 goals in as many games.
Not an unforgettable haul, with an easy average: one goal per game, the same as Monza and Venezia.
So far, only Lecce, Empoli, Genoa and Cagliari have done worse.
The newspaper adds that it’s been 33 years since Roma struggled so much in finding the back of the net.
Dybala is also fundamental, as always: Paulo is looking for a goal from open play even away from home, 762 days after the last time (Inter-Roma 1-2, 1 October 2022).
