RomaPress – Roma are keeping their fingers crossed that they will have central defender Ibañez back in time for their showdown against Milan in eight days.
A member of the Brazilian’s entourage confirmed today that he will miss tomorrow’s match against Benevento and Thursday’s Europa League second leg against Braga. However, his representatives are still hopeful that he can recover for the critical clash in Rome against the Rossoneri.
Meanwhile, Roma boss Paulo Fonseca revealed during his press conference that newly acquired American defender, Bryan Reynolds, has returned to the United States for a visa-related issue. The right back joined the Giallorossi in the final days of last month’s transfer window, however, he has yet to be called-up by Fonseca as he works to get back to match fitness.
“We can’t forget that he hasn’t played in two months, he needs to train individually to get fit. However, we’re working with him so that he can start training with the squad as soon as possible.” he said.
Club officials revealed that the youngster will return to the Italian capital within the new few days.
