Roma are holding out hope for the quick recovery of Sardar Azmoun.

The 29-year-old striker made his return to the Italian capital after sustaining an injury while on international duty with Iran.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Roma initially feared a serious injury in the form of a hamstring issue.

However, the player is yet to undergo tests at Trigoria as the injury does not appear as serious as expected.

The newspaper suggests that Roma’s hope is to have Azmoun back on the pitch within the next 15 days, whereas the initial prognosis estimated an absence of around 30 days.
