Roma are in continuous contact with Girona with the aim of getting a deal done for Artem Dovbyk.

The Ukrainian striker is the Giallorossi’s favorite candidate to succeed Romelu Lukaku ahead of next season.

In the last few days, Roma opened talks with Dovbyk’s entourage and obtained the 27-year-old’s approval for a transfer.

With Atletico Madrid on the verge of abandoning the race, Roma are now more convinced than ever of the possibility to bring Dovbyk to the Italian capital.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are hopeful.

The newspaper adds that Girona could accept Roma’s latest offer of 32 million plus 5 in bonuses (plus a 10% resale percentage) within the next 48 hours.

In the meantime, Roma have a total agreement on contract length and wages with Dovbyk himself.
