After securing the arrival of Mario Hermoso, Roma wish to add another defender to their roster.
The Giallorossi are in fact eyeing Mats Hummels as the replacement for Chris Smalling who is set to leave the club and join Al Fayha on Monday.
With the Englishman on his way out, Roma will be able to accelerate for Hummels.
According to SiamoLaRoma.it, Roma relaunched talks with the player’s agent – his father – and offered the veteran a one-year contract with the option for a second year.
On September 4th Roma will have to present the UEFA list with the hope of closing the deal for Hummels first.
