Roma are being linked with Lille defender Bafodé Diakité.

The capital club are reportedly compiling a list of transfer targets for the summer and, with the imminent arrival of Florent Ghisolfi as Roma’s new sporting director and his experience in France, the Giallorossi are exploring options largely from Ligue 1.

Among these targets, La Gazzetta dello Sport claims Roma have added Lille’s 23-year-old defender Bafodé Diakité.

According to the newspaper, De Rossi appreciates this player very much due to his versatility – he can play both as a centreback and leftback and so far this season he has registered 6 goals and 2 assists in 27 appearances for Paulo Fonseca’s side.
