Roma have reportedly joined the race for out-of-favor Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie.
According to La Repubblica, Kessie will likely depart the Spanish giants this coming summer as they look to make room for Leo Messi’s highly anticipated return.
As a result, his entourage have been scouting for options in Italy where Kessie rose to prominence with Milan.
The newspaper claims Roma came forward and held preliminary talks with Kessie’s agent to assess the feasibility of a deal for him. The main obstacle remains the player’s considerable salary of €7 million.
Moreover, there are several clubs after him including Tottenham, Juventus and Napoli.
