Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport revealed that Roma’s priority to replace Nicolo Zaniolo with had been Sassuolo attacker Hamed Traore, now at Bournemouth.
The capital club, reports that Italian newspaper, had found an agreement with the 22-year-old and were ready to close the deal once Zaniolo accepted Bournemouth’s proposal.
However, Zaniolo’s decision to turn down the offer from the Cherries blocked Roma’s incoming transfers. As a result, Bournemouth themselves turned their attention to Traore and completed a deal worth €30 million.
