Roma in talks for Lille right back Mehmet Zeki Çelik

The transfer market has reopened and Roma are looking to reinforce the squad following the arrival of Tiago Pinto, the club’s new General Director, today in the Italian capital.

Despite the impressive performances of Rick Karsdorp, one of the positions that the Giallorossi are looking to strengthen this month is right back.

Sky Sport has reported that Roma have opened negotiations with Lille for Turkish international Zeki Çelik.

The French side are requesting €15 million for the defender, who was previously linked to Paulo Fonseca’s side in the summer.

Çelik is ready to say “Yes” to the Giallorossi but it remains to be seen if President Dan Friedkin would want to make that large of an investment this month.
