Roma are reportedly in talks with Tottenham Hotspurs for the transfer of Nicolo Zaniolo.
Zaniolo’s decision to leave the club before the end of the transfer deadline took everyone by surprise, including General Manager Tiago Pinto who is now trying to resolve the situation by finding an adequate destination for the 23-year-old.
The player’s entourage have been in contact with Tottenham. The Premier League club want to sign Zaniolo on loan with obligation to buy based on certain conditions including Champions League qualification and performance-related criteria such as number of appearances and goals scored, reports Italian journalist Nicolo Schira.
Roma, however, will only consider a permanent deal to guarantee Zaniolo’s exit. The two clubs will continue negotiations in the coming days.
