In order to strengthen the midfield in this summer window, Roma have contacted out-of-favour Atletico Madrid midfielder Saúl.
Following an unsuccessful loan spell at Chelsea, the player is once again looking to move on from the Spanish capital as he does not fit in Diego Simeone’s plans.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Roma have intensified talks with Saúl’s entourage in order to bring him to Serie A.
The Spaniard is one of the players Mourinho approved of for his side’s midfield.
