Roma are reportedly in talks with out-of-favour Manchester United defender Eric Bailly who had been linked with the capital club over the past few days.
The Giallorossi want to bring an additional centre-back in this summer window in order to further strengthen Mourinho’s backline for the upcoming campaign.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Roma have contacted the player’s entourage as well as Man United’s board.
The English club are yet to decide whether to let the 28-year-old leave on loan, which is what Roma want.
Milan were also interested in Bailly, but Mourinho’s relationship with the player, dating back to their days at Old Trafford, seem to have given Roma an advantage in the player’s eyes.
