Roma are reportedly in talks with out-of-favor Barcelona attacker Memphis Depay for a January move ahead of the Dutchman’s free agency in the summer.
The player is pushing to leave Spain in the upcoming transfer window after Barcelona fixed €2 million price-tag to let him go six months before potentially losing him for free.
According to Corriere della Sera, Roma General Manager Tiago Pinto has inquired about the player and is now in talks with Depay’s entourage. The Portuguese director wants to sign the 28-year-old on loan in the January window.
The capital club’s idea is to secure the sale of Justin Kluivert (for around €10 million) and invest these earnings in Depay and an additional fullback to replace departing Rick Karsdorp.
