Roma have reached a long-term agreement with Croatian club HNK Hajduk Split, reports Il Tempo.

According to the Italian newspaper, the capital club have formed a partnership with Hajduk following Roma’s latest signing of 16-year-old Mate Ivkovic.

Hajduk’s president, Luksa Jakobusic, recently visited Trigoria, meeting with General Manager Tiago Pinto to finalize a collaboration meant to enable Roma to have a right to acquire youth players from the Croatian side.

This way, the Giallorossi will be first in line for any young player that Hajduk plan to off-load in Italy.

Pinto and Jakobusic go back a long way to the Portuguese director’s days at Benfica. Their collaboration is bound to continue for years to come, given that Pinto considers Hajduk’s youth sector one of the best in the world.
