Roma are eyeing defensive reinforcements for manager Paulo Fonseca as a new name has emerged in recent hours that has caught the interest of the Giallorossi.
Sky Sport reports that Roma have their eyes on Atletico Madrid’s 20 year-old central defender Nehuén Pérez.
The youngster spent the previous season on loan at Portuguese side Famalicão, where he made 23 appearances and scored 1 goal.
The main priority for the Giallorossi’s defence remains Chris Smalling, but they are still interested in acquiring the Argentine from the Spanish side.
Meanwhile, Roma’s Federico Fazio is garnering attention in Serie A as both Fiorentina and Cagliari have made an inquiry for the defender.
