Roma are being linked with Atletico Madrid defender Jose Maria Gimenez along with other European clubs interested in the Uruguayan international.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Spanish giants will consider selling several big names in the summer after Simeone’s team failed to advance in their Champions League group stage earlier in the week.
Gimenez is among the players Atletico seem to be willing to let go of and several clubs have inquired about the centreback’s services ahead of next summer.
The Spanish outlet reports that Roma and Juventus are the primary suitors in Italy. However, the current price-tag on the 27-year-old has been fixed at around €35-40 million.
