With 19 clean sheets in 50 appearances in all competitions, Odisseas Vlachodimos of Benfica has captured the attention of many throughout Europe. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Roma are one of the many interested in acquiring the 25-year-old, who could become the first purchase of Petrachi.

One problem is that Vlachodimos, who is half German and half Greek, also has interest from not only Roma but also Bayern, Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle. Another problem is the valuation of the player from the Portuguese side is about €20 million euros. Roma will have trouble reaching that figure and will likely sit down to find the right formula, with the hope to possibly lower the initial asking price. The casting for the goalkeeper role at Roma has started.
