Roma interested in Hellas Verona goalkeeper Marco Silvestri

Roma have set their sights on Hellas Verona goalkeeper Marco Silvestri.

Il Tempo reports that the Giallorossi have already started their search for a new goalkeeper for next season and have focused their attention on the 29 year-old Italian shot-stopper.

Silvestri has been among the top goalkeepers this season in Serie A with 4 clean sheets in 9 appearances for the Venetian side, which has attracted him interest from bigger sides throughout Italy.

Pau Lopez, who has been relegated to second choice this season, is likely to depart the Italian capital at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, current first choice goalkeeper, Antonio Mirante, is 37 years-old and his contract with the club expires in June. However, the Giallorossi hope to renew his deal and keep him as the backup for next season.
