Roma continue being linked with new names for the midfield position the club have prioritized in the final days of this year’s transfer window following Gini WIjnaldum’s injury.
The capital club are evaluating an extensive list of options from Italy and abroad. Besides earlier links with Florian Grillitsch and Denis Zakaria, Roma are now rumored to be interested in Hellas Verona midfielder Adrien Tameze.
According to Corriere della Sera, the Giallorossi have made inquiries for the 28-year-old whose value is estimated at around €12 million after the player impressed everyone in the league last season with 4 goals and 2 assists in 38 Serie A appearances.
Hellas Verona are not pushing for the player’s exit but could be open to negotiations in case a deal for Tameze were to include some counterparts from the youth sector. Roma could therefore make a proposal akin to the one that allowed the capital club to sign Marash Kumbulla from Verona in 2020.
