The January transfer window is fast approaching and Roma know that the team needs reinforcements if they want to achieve Champions League football by the end of this year’s campaign.
General Manager Tiago Pinto is already at work to strengthen the midfield, holding talks with Denis Zakaria’s agents.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the Portuguese director is also busy looking for valid alternatives to Rick Karsdorp. The Dutchman’s only back-up currently is Bryan Reynolds on whom Mourinho has not relied at all so far this season.
Furthermore, Reynolds has been recently linked with a loan move away from the Italian capital to gain some much needed experience.
Thus, Roma want an additional full-back. Corriere dello Sport reports that Benjamin Henrichs of RB Leipzig is on the list of names the club are considering for the winter transfer market.
The 24-year-old is unhappy with his limited playing time at the German side and is reportedly pressuring the club to find him a new destination.
The player is valued at around €10 million, but Pinto would try and bring him in on loan with option to buy at the end of the season.
