Roma interested in Rennes right back Brandon Soppy, deal for Reynolds stalling

Roma are working to bring a right back to the club when the transfer window reopens in the coming weeks.

After having opened talks for FC Dallas youngster Bryan Reynolds just over three weeks ago, negotiations for the American have hit a standstill. The youngster has, thus far, rejected the offers presented by the Giallorossi and it remains to be seen if they will relaunch and make another approach for him.

Because of the problems encountered in trying to land Reynolds, Roma have started to eye possible alternatives.

French journalist Manu Lonjon of Eurosport has reported that Rennes and Roma are engaged in talks for 18 year-old right back Brandon Soppy.

Reportedly, the two sides are closing in on a deal following unsuccessful negotiations earlier this summer. The Frenchman has 7 appearances to his name this season.
