Turkish outlet Fanatik has reported that Roma and Besiktas are interested in Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Viktor Kovalenko.
Reportedly, Roma boss Paulo Fonseca views the 24 year-old as an ideal reinforcement for his midfield and believes the Giallorossi could take advantage of the Ukrainian’s contractual situation.
Kovalenko’s contract is set to expire following the completion of the 2019/2020 season and the Ukrainian side is pessimistic that they will find an agreement on a renewal.
Furthermore, the player seems eager for an adventure abroad in the hopes of playing in a more competitive league.
Besiktas has already initiated contact with the player’s entourage and are eager to try and find an agreement for him.
