Roma interested in Sporting’s Marcos Acuña

Portguese outlet A Bola has reported today that Roma are interested in Sporting CP left back Marcos Acuña.

Reportedly, the Giallorossi are interested in bringing in a new name on the left this summer and one of the names that they’re considering is that of the 28 year-old Argentine, who joined Sporting in the summer of 2017.

The Portuguese side requesting €15 million for the defender, who made 36 appearances in all competitions last season with 2 goals and 4 assists to his name.

Roma already have Leonardo Spinazzola and Aleksandar Kolarov at left back, however, the latter is likely to find more space under Paulo Fonseca as a left-sided central defender in Roma’s 3-4-2-1 formation — which would leave the former Juventus man as the only option.
