Roma are eyeing Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven as the capital club are reportedly considering the sale of Marash Kumbulla in the January window.
Van de Ven is Mourinho’s preferred profile to strengthen the Giallorossi’s backline, reports calciomercato.it.
The talented left-footed Dutchman is only 21 years old and has already featured in all of Wolfsburg’s league games this season, scoring on one occasion.
The 21-year-old is versatile enough to be able to play in a three- or four-man defense, and has also featured as a fullback.
Famous agent Rafaela Pimenta manages van de Ven’s situation and her good relations with Roma could help in an eventual negotiation. Wolfsburg, however, do not intend of getting rid of the youngster anytime soon. His current contract with the German side is set to expire in 2025.
