Roma join race for Sassuolo’s Frattesi

The Giallorossi have put their sights on former youth product Davide Frattesi of Sassuolo, reports calciomercato.com.

General Manager Tiago Pinto is reportedly putting pressure on Sassuolo’s management and has joined the tight race for the 22-year-old midfielder.

Inter are the strong favorites for Frattesi, with Napoli and Juve also tracking him. However, Roma want to capitalize on the excellent relationship they share with Sassuolo and their executive Carnevali.

The capital club have 30% of resale value on the player after letting him go in the summer of 2017. The recent deal involving Riccardo Ciervo could further boost the possibility of making a deal for Frattesi in June.

The Neroverdi currently value him at €25 million. The player is reportedly open to the idea of returning to the capital, with Tiago Pinto already holding talks with his agent, Giuseppe Riso , who is also responsible for the likes of Gianluca Mancini and Bryan Cristante.
