Roma, Juventus battle for Guglielmo Vicario and Marco Carnesecchi

Andy Mattioli

Roma and Juventus are reportedly eyeing the same transfer targets ahead of the summer.

The two clubs are, according to most Italian media, looking to strengthen their goal-keeper’s position.

Roma’s plan is to replace Rui Patricio at the end of the season and one of the primary names for the job is that of Empoli shot-stopper Guglielmo Vicario.

At the same time, however, the Giallorossi are also keen on Atalanta’s Marco Carnesecchi who is currently on loan at Cremonese.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus are also in contact the players’ agents and trying to overcome Roma in what will likely become a heated race heading into the next transfer window.
