Former Torino man Andrea Belotti – now a free agent – keeps being linked with Roma as the search for a new club continues in the opening week to this year’s summer transfer window.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Roma would consider adding Belotti to their roster as a valuable back-up to Tammy Abraham given the Englishman’s extensive minutes played in the 21/22 campaign.
The Italian outlet reports that Mourinho would be open to this solution and appreciates Belotti’s qualities. At the same time, Belotti would be willing to join Roma because the player’s ambition is to remain in Italy.
Belotti has drawn interest from abroad: West Ham United have inquired about him, whereas Fenerbahçe e Galatasaray’s approaches have been rejected by the player’s entourage.
In the meantime, Monaco are reportedly preparing a bid for the 28-year-old striker.
