Roma are reportedly in talks for Feyenoord defender Marcos Senesi whose contract with the Dutch side is set to expire next year.
According to Italian journalist Mirko Calemme of Serie A News, the Giallorossi closing in on the Argentine centre-back.
Feyenoord are demanding between €15-20 million for the defender and Roma want to reach an agreement in the coming weeks.
The capital club are expected to come forward with a convincing proposal.
They are now deemed the favorites to land Senesi despite the interest of other European clubs including Napoli.
