Roma legend and former captain Aldair discussed Mourinho’s first season in the capital as well as the Giallorossi’s chances heading into the Conference League final with Feyenoord.
“Mourinho has done a good job. I often laugh when they ask him football questions, and he often talks about something else instead,” he told Il Messaggero.
“But it’s a way to protect the team and the players eventually appreciate it. For a final evaluation however, we have to wait. Let’s hope he can win the cup.”
“Mourinho’s been good even though he found a team that was perhaps lacking too much.”
“Roma’s fanbase is exceptional, it has few equals in the world,” he added.
On his favorite Roma defender presently he replied “If I have to express a preference, I like Mancini because he is not afraid to start the action, he always comes out with the ball at his feet, he is quite careful in man-marking.”
