Roma legend Bruno Conti – who works for the Giallorossi in the Youth Development program – discussed, among other things, the team’s potential going forward and whether Roma can finally compete for the Scudetto.
“At this moment in time, the club have a great ownership,” Conti told tuttomercatoweb. “This ownership is ambitious and willing to invest heavily in the club.”
“I think the team will do great things in the future,” he added. “It’s difficult to envision us winning the Scudetto this year.”
“To me the main issue with Italian football is that we do not pay enough attention to the youth sector. Instead, we go and look for players from abroad,” Conti concluded when asked about Italy’s struggle in producing exciting talent.
