Roma legend and former club captain Giuseppe Giannini expressed his wish for Jose Mourinho to stay with the Giallorossi.
In an interview with Corriere dello Sport, Giannini said, “I understand that we are talking about a coach who has worked with many teams and it is normal that after reaching two European finals in two years he can also look around for a new challenge or perhaps wants to leave because of some unresolved issues with the club.”
“He may think that Roma can’t invest big amounts of money next season, but I believe that the love of the fans is unparalleled anywhere else. In some European clubs he could have great champions but that wouldn’t exclude the possibility of failing.”
“In Rome he would remain the leader that he is, the point of reference for the environment.”
“In my opinion, Mou should put aside the desire to win elsewhere and continue to build an even more important Roma.”
