Roma legend Roberto Falcão: “Success follows Mourinho everywhere he goes.”

Andy Mattioli

Roma legend Roberto Falcão was recently interviewed after Roma toured the streets of the capital celebrating their Conference League trophy.

Falcão still remembers the masses of people that gathered all over the capital to celebrate the second Scudetto during his tenure at the club.

“There was at least half a million people in the streets when we won the Scudetto,” Falcão told Il Messaggero. “Never seen anything like it since.”

“When I heard that José got appointed as manager, I immediately said: we will get back to the top,” he continued.

“That we would win because success follows Mourinho everywhere he goes, this has been the case since the beginning of his career as a technician.”

“When he’s in a place, respect is automatic. He receives it precisely because of his exceptional palmarès. That involves the players and, as you have seen, the fans. And the opponents. He’s truly unique.”

“Mourinho thinks as a winner. He proved it with Porto and with all his clubs. And what he says he seriously believes.”

“The Olympico always being sold out this season is the confirmation of his magic.”
