Although Tiago Pinto is currently busy off-loading the likes of Kluivert and Olsen, Roma’s General Manager is also closely monitoring the situation related to the much needed left-back to temporarily replace the injured Leonardo Spinazzola.
One of the many names on Pinto’s shopping list is Matías Viña of Brazilian club Palmeiras. Viña is a 23-year-old left-back and Uruguayan international who may be looking to play on the European stage. According to Sportitalia, the Roman club have already contacted Palmeiras and reportedly made a first bid.
Roma’s first offer amounts to €10 million. However, the Brazilian side are hesitant in letting go of their starting left-back. Palmeiras are likely to make the negotiations very difficult. Nevertheless, Roma remain in the race for the player.
