Roma linked again with Atletico Madrid’s Andrea Berta for Sporting Director role

After Michael Emenalo, José Boto, and Jonas Boldt were crosssed off of Roma’s list in their search for a new Sporting Director — a familiar name is being linked today with the vacancy.

Spanish outlet Marca has reported that Atletico Madrid’s Andrea Berta, who joined the club in July 2017, is being eyed by Roma to oversee their sporting project.

The Italian is one of the most sought-after Sporting Directors in Europe and the Giallorossi are keen on bringing him to the Italian capital. However, it still is not yet known whether or not Berta is ready to leave Diego Simeone’s side in order to start a new project.
