Roma linked with Belgian midfielder Leander Dendoncker

Roma are looking to make a move in the January transfer market and, for the moment, the priority seems to be a player in the midfield who can occupy the mediano role alongside Nzonzi and Cristante. Today, various outlets, including La Gazzetta dello Sport, have reported that one of the possible January targets for the Giallorossi is Leander Dendoncker, Belgian midfielder who’s on loan at Wolves from Anderlecht.

The 23 year old has played sparingly for the English side this season and there have been whispers that he could, in fact, decide to terminate his loan early in favor of a move elsewhere.

Michael Verschueren, the sporting director of Anderlecht, spoke to LaRoma24 about the possibility of the midfielder returning to the club or potentially joining a new club:

“At the moment I can not say if the player will leave Wolves. On 2 January, we’ll have a better idea and we will be able to evaluate the various options”.
