Roma linked with Manchester United shot stopper Sergio Romero

Roma are being linked with a move for out-of-contract Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero.

The Telegraph reports that Romero (34) has drawn interest from the Giallorossi following the appointment of José Mourinho.

The former Sampdoria shot-stopper’s deal with the Red Devils expires in June and could look to reunite in the Italian capital with The Special One.

Romero possesses an Italian passport and could provide short-term cover for Spanish goalkeeper Pau Lopez, who will be unavailable for the next three to four months following surgery on his dislocated shoulder.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have, reportedly, already lined up a replacement for the Argentine in the form of Aston Villa’s Tom Heaton.
