Roma are being linked with a potential defensive reinforcement ahead of the summer window.

As reported by calciomercato.com, Roma are seeking additional defensive reinforcements given the difficulty in securing a long-term deal for Dean Huijsen from Juventus.

Huijsen is expected to return to his parent club at the end of the season, forcing Roma to evaluate possible replacements on the market.

The news portal suggests that Udinese centreback Jaka Bijol could be a player of interest to the capital club – the 24-year-old has still three years left on his contract with Udinese but could push to leave the Friuli-based side.

Udinese’s estimated pricetag on Bijol is of €15 million.

A key factor could be represented by the match analyst on Daniele De Rossi’s staff, Enrico Iodice, who worked at Udinese two years ago and therefore knows the Slovenian central defender very well.
