With Cristiano Ronaldo nearing a turbulent exit from Old Trafford following his controversial interview and dispute with United manager Erik ten Hag, Roma have been linked with the Portuguese attacker.
The Giallorossi have been listed as a potential option for Ronaldo in January by La Repubblica.
The Italian newspaper claims that Roma represent a suitable destination for the ex-Real Madrid man due to the club’s excellent relations with superstar agent Jorge Mendes who manages, among others, Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho’s interests.
Reports in England put Chelsea ahead of Roma due to the costs involved in such an operation.
