Gian Piero Gasperini’s transfer dream for next season is Mason Greenwood, but there’s no shortage of competition.

Roma, buoyed by their agreement with the player, are working to close the deal, but in recent hours, the possibility of Tottenham has become increasingly popular.

The 2001-born player has rediscovered his best form thanks to Roberto De Zerbi with OM, but – as reported by Fabrizio Romano – the Italian coach is not interested in bringing the player to England. A competitor has withdrawn for the Roman club, which now needs to step up its game.

Roma, which obtained a waiver to have Tony D’Amico immediately available, has a primary objective: to complete contract renewals and settle UEFA’s accounts with transfers.

The Greenwood deal, however, must be completed before June 30, as Marseille is also required to sell under the settlement agreement.

The 2001-born player is reportedly pushing to become a new player for Gian Piero Gasperini’s team.

The Friedkins’ plan is to publicly break with the player’s current club to negotiate a lower fee, given that OM continues to demand at least €50 million.
